Laura Turner

Laura is a playwright, screenwriter and actor from Lincoln, where Fury is based. She established Fury Theatre in 2020 as a culmination of the work she felt most passionate about producing for the stage: female stories. As a playwright, Laura has worked with theatres and companies across the UK including Hull Truck, East Riding, the Almeida, Chapterhouse, Middle Child, Petersfield Shakespeare Festival. For the screen, she has worked with the BBC, BFI Network and multiple production companies. Her first feature film, Lapwing, came out in cinemas in 2021. As an actor, Laura is passionate about portraying complex, empowered women on stage and screen who defy convention and expectation.
